Android Vs iOS

 

Android and iOS are the two most popular operating systems for smartphones. Both have been around for a long time and have their pros and cons. However, we believe that Android is better than iOS, and there are a couple of reasons for that.

Firstly, Android is much more customizable than iOS. It allows you to install ‘launchers’ which completely change your home screen. There are also a lot more devices to choose from in android ranging from very cheap budget phones to high quality, feature-rich flagships as all companies except Apple use android to power their phones. Android even allows you to root your phone meaning you can even install custom ROMs which are basically modified versions of android and can contain many more features than what the original device came with.

iOS on the other hand, is set and stone most of the time, and does not have many customization options. The policy typically is “Apple knows what’s best for you.” Even jailbreaking it is illegal. Google assistant completely decimates Siri in many ways.

For security, there’s a myth that iOS is more secure than android. However, this is not actually true. If you only install apps from the play store, android can be just as secure, especially with google pushing out many more security updates recently. In android however, you can even install apps from external sources like the internet and some apps might be malicious, but you don't even have this freedom in iOS.

All in all, these are the main reasons why we prefer Android over iOS. (Also the phones are cheaper)
