Importance Of Having A Hobby( Football)

Everyone needs to have a hobby that is non-academic related. Hobbies give you an opportunity to enhance your life. Hobbies allow you to destress yourself while remaining mentally productive. Having hobbies promotes better health and may lower the risk of having high blood pressure. Enjoying a few hours of your hobby a week can also reduce the risk of depression and dementia. As students in 10th grade, we face a lot of stress on a daily basis whether it is from assignments or projects.

My personal and favorite hobby is a sport called football( Soccer). In football, you need a very good set of footwork skills and great eye to leg coordination. In football, there are two teams playing against each other. Each team consists of 11 players, one goalkeeper per team. Usually, in football, there are three strikers, three mid-field players, and three defenders( plus the goalie). There is one sphere-shaped ball on the field at all times and the main objective of the game is to get the ball into the opponent’s goal.  Each football game is 90 minutes with a break at 45 minutes.  Football is the world's most popular ball game in a number of participants and spectators. I started playing football when I was 9 years old ( 15 years currently). I really like football since I have connected it on an emotional level. Football is a team-based ball game so it requires a lot of skill and communication between teammates.

Football is played by approximately 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world's most popular sport. Football has brought us so many legends such as Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, Pele, Diego Maradona, and many more. No one knows exactly when soccer was created, but the earliest versions of the game can be traced back 3,000 years. There are many health benefits to Football.

  • increases aerobic capacity and cardiovascular health.
  • lowers body fat and improves muscle tone.
  • builds strength, flexibility, and endurance.
  • increases muscle and bone strength.
  • improves health due to shifts between walking, running, and sprinting.

In conclusion, Hobbies are important to a persons’ mental and physical health. Anyone can play football but to become good at it, it takes time and practice of skill and coordination. You also require communication.
