The students and class teacher of grade 4C virtually celebrated the Doctor’s day on 2nd July 2021. The celebration began with the host for the event, Anwita, greeting everyone and inviting Vibha to give the welcome speech.
Vibha welcomed all the teachers, Head Mistress ma'am, junior school coordinator ma'am, guest doctor and students to the Grade 4C virtual celebration. Parikshith showed us a chart and explained to us the significance of Doctor’s day. Shreeya’s show and tell about the instruments used by doctors was very informative. Adhita, Shreeya, Khushi, Parth, Mahathi and Mithun had made some beautiful cards wishing doctors a very happy Doctor’s day. They read their wordings from their cards and showcased them. Khushi’s video on the role play between a doctor and a patient was very interesting and gave us a look into how a patient is treated.
Dr.Naveen, Parikshith’s father, was the guest doctor for our class. Anwita welcomed the doctor and asked him to address us. Dr.Naveen spoke to us about the pandemic and how it has affected everyone. He told us to take precautions like washing hands, maintaining social distance, wearing a mask and eating healthy to keep ourselves safe. He also told us to be fit by exercising and being active. Rishi, Ruthika and Akshay asked the doctor some interesting questions on how he takes precautions, how he manages when he falls ill and if he gets scared when treating Covid patients. The doctor explained to us how he takes care of himself, his family and patients. He also told us that it is his duty to treat any patients and the precautions he takes while treating them.
It was a very informative session with Dr.Naveen and we learnt a lot from him. As a thank you gesture, all the students showed the cards that they had made for the doctor. Aadya ended the event with a vote of thanks to all the participants, teachers, students and our guest doctor, Dr. Naveen. Our class teacher, Shwetha ma’am also thanked Dr.Naveen and the students for participating in the Doctor’s day event.
