Raksha Bandhan is a famous festival of India. It is celebrated all over the country with great joy. The festival of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on the day of Shravan Purnima.On this day, sisters apply tilak on their brother’s forehead and tie rakhi on their wrists. Brothers give gifts to their sisters and promise to take care of them in every situation. Sisters pray to god for the safety, good health and bright future of their brother. Every girl with her brother cherishes this day.
Raksha bandhan is a festival of brother and sister. Raksha means protection and bandhan means bond. Everyone in the family wears ethnic clothes on the occasion.
